Rats eat cash worth Rs 12 lakh in ATM in Assam

Rats and mice can create a real havoc and there is no reliable solution to the problem.
The media reported that rats had eaten cash valued at Rs 12 lakh kept in the ATM.
The staff looking after the ATM found that notes of value Rs 12 lakh were damaged , while other notes were not damaged.
The government in Assam, like in Goa is extremely inefficient in controlling the rat menace, and they are creating havoc in the house of many citizens and other places, forcing citizens to spend a lot of money on pest control.

Bison gores woman to death in Sattari, Goa

The media reported that a 45 year old woman Jayanti Gaonkar was gored to death at a plantation in Kankire, Sattari after she was attacked and seriously injured by the bison, The woman who was accompanied by another woman had gone to the plantation to plant new cashew saplings.

The woman did not see the bison, and bisons horns caused serious injuries to her stomach. She succumbed to her injuries while being taken to the hospital for treatment. Gaonkar’s husband had died, and she was the sole earning member of the family, leaving behind three children and her mother in law

Kankeri is located close to Bondla wildlife sanctuary, and there many instances of animals attacking humans.
